Severe Weather Awareness Week

March 2-8 is Severe Weather Awareness Week, when tornado sirens are tested, school drills practiced, and some spotter talks taught. This is a perfect time for you and your family to prepare for severe storm season. Talk about where you should go in your house in a tornado, and practice getting there quickly. Consider purchasing a NOAA weather radio, which will alert you of weather warnings. Also, check the batteries in your flashlights, and fill up some jugs of water, so that you are pepared for power outages.

Be prepared. Stay safe.
